WHY WE WOULD NOT KEEP QUIET ON MAWLID

When we try to expose the Misconceptions being spread by those who celebrate mawlid despite the fact that it lacks the basis in Islām, some people would say: 

What is even your problem about this mawlid. After all, we are not forcing you to do it. Why can't you leave us alone?

Then, we say: 

Would not leave you alone, we would not leave you to mislead ignorant or uninformed Muslims. We wouldn't allow you to destroy the religion from within. We would not leave bid'ah to thrive in our society. We would not stop preaching against bid'ah and other evils no matter how popular they are and the huge population of those upon it. 

The Salaf used not to condone bid'ah, no matter how small. If we don't have the authority of the State to prosecute and bring to book perpetrators of bid'ah in the society, at least we have mouth to speak against it, we have fingers to type against it, we have pen to write against it and we have the mind to detest it. Allāh is aware of our capacity in this regard.

May Allāh guide us all aright and keep us firm upon the truth (Sunnah).
