DANGER OF PATRONIZING JALABI ALFAS

Many people who do jalabi for people (especially that which involves magic and soothsaying) know deep down their heart that they are liars. But the main reason why they find it hard to leave the devilish business is that they have tied their rizq (sustenance) to it. They use different kinds of things that are not permitted in the deen. In Chapter 4 of Kitab at Taoheed, Sheikh Muhammad ibn 'Abdilwahhab رحمه الله mentioned a verse in Suratul A'raaf where Allaah سبحانه وتعالى warn against the shirk of going to other than Allaah for help or assistance. Allaah says:

(أَيُشْرِكُونَ مَا لَا يَخْلُقُ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ، وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ لَهُمْ نَصْرًا وَلَا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَنْصُرُونَ)

"Do they associate with Him those who create nothing and they are [themselves] created? And the false deities are unable to [give] them help, nor can they help themselves" [Q7:191-192]

If you advise them, leave this work, it is a means towards kufr, they would look at you and say: Haa! O fe gba'je le'nu wa ni (you want to block our means of livelihood). That is why the attacks against Sunnah from them is becoming so much these days. But Allah still use their attacks as nasr for Sunnah. The more they attack the sunnah, the more people seek clarification and know more about it.
