CONSTANT RECITATION OF THE QUR'ĀN

©Ibn Abdillah As-sudaisiy Al-Iloori

What makes the Qur'ān stick to the brain as if it is glued to it is constant revision. Recitation of the Qur'ān can never be too much. The more you recite a portion, the more it sticks. Our relationship with the Qur'ān is very important, let us not joke with it. We should recite it properly with tajweed always, reflect on its meanings and act upon it. The people of Qur'ān are in the forefront. May Allāh count us among them.

Recitation of the Qur'ān is the best form of dhikr (remembrance of Allāh). The Qur'ān is the greatest miracle in Islām. Reflection on its meaning brings about peace to the mind and increases eemān. It instills fear of Allāh in the heart and guides against sins. It is sweetening to the ear. It is the best legacy we can bequeath to our children and the younger generations at large. Indeed, there is no book that can take its place.

وفيه دواء من كل داء فثق به ** فوالله ما عنه ينوب كتاب

And in it (the Qur'an), there is medications for all diseases, so, stick to it. By Allāh, no book can take its place.
