I have been seeing RMQK without understanding what it means. But having seen some videos on it, I noticed it is about a very dangerous sect claiming to possess some spiritual powers. They are fast gaining popularity in the Muslim Ummah in Yorubaland with their sharp mouths. They have many defects in their 'aqeedah as I have seen so far. But no one will fall for their evils except people with poor understanding of 'aqeedah of Islām. A true and ideal Muslim will not be amazed by any supernatural power that lacks basis in Islām. Even if they threaten to harm you with their devilish powers, know that no harm can befall you without the leave of Allāh. Allāh says:

فَلَمَّاۤ اَلْقَوْا قَا لَ مُوْسٰى مَا جِئْتُمْ بِهِ ۙ السِّحْرُ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَيُبْطِلُهٗ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِيْنَ

And when they had thrown, Moses said, What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupters.(QS. Yunus: Verse 81)

Without doubt, one of the main causes of this museebah (disaster) is the refusal of our old Arabic institutions and descendants to prioritize sound 'aqeedah. No matter how sound a Madrasah is in Arabic, without teaching its students and ensure they understand the 'aqeedah (creed) of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah, it will continue to breed potential destroyers of people's eemān (faith) in Allāh. That is why we always say 'aqeedah first before any other thing. 

For instance, it is lack of understanding of 'aqeedah that could make a former "Ajanasi" to mistake a trick of shaytān for true healing. He was giving what is due to Allāh to other than Allāh. He was even swearing by the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم talking as if Islām is just about Salat (five daily prayers).

Allāh says:

وَّاَنَّهٗ كَا نَ رِجَا لٌ مِّنَ الْاِ نْسِ يَعُوْذُوْنَ بِرِجَا لٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَا دُوْهُمْ رَهَقًا 

And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. (QS. Al-Jinn: Verse 6)

May Allāh protect us from their evils.

One of the ways to be saved from the evils of deviant sects that are springing up within the Muslim Community anywhere in the world today is to be a reader. Read books that expose their secrets and the various ways they deceive their unsuspecting followers.
