QUIZ: WHO ARE THEY?

We need to emulate their exemplary conducts. We must align ourselves with their understanding of the deen. What we have to note in their own case was that they had won several phases of jihad before the defensive jihad. 

They fought their souls first, purified their intentions and established the shari'ah within the corners of their homes. They loved themselves wholeheartedly. They enjoined one another on goodness and forbid evils among themselves. They didn't unite upon batil (falsehood). Their unity was strictly upon the Book of Allaah and the instructions of the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم. They did not deviate from the decrees of Allaah and His Apostle صلى الله عليه وسلم. Whatever the Prophet said: their reply was "سمعنا وأطعنا" (we hear and we follow).

They didnt take laws into their hands. They waited patiently for instruction to fight. They even embarked on series of migration in protection of their faith. And when the whistle to fight those who drove them out of their homes was finally blown, they fought bravely and confidently. And Allaah crowned their efforts with monumental success. May Allaah increase His blessings on them.

Who are these people we are talking about?
