WE ARE IN POVERTY, YET WE DISOBEY!

We advise our leaders privately, we don't criticise them openly. This is Islaam. This is Sunnah. Let us ask ourselves, since we have been criticising them openly, have they changed? They even get worse day by day. What makes us think until we criticise leaders openly against the injunction of the Rosul صلى الله عليه وسلم, they will not change? We should note before it is too late that if our leaders don't change after they have been privately advised, their hidaayah is in Allaah's Hand. Ours is to remain patient and calm. The matter has been settled several centuries ago. Some people would say: but open criticism works in the West? And so what? Is the West our Qur'an and Sunnah? Let us remember how open criticism and revolt against leaders has destroyed many Arab nations.
However, this doesn't stop us from reading hadiths on good leadership time from time on the mimbar on Fridays and in lecture gatherings without mentioning names on embarking on incitements. They will learn from that if Allaah wants goodness for them. In many verses of the Qur'an, Allaah told us that we can't force anyone to change. The fact that they refuse to listen to private advice doesn't mean we should disobey the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم in this regard. It doesn't mean we should change the shariah. Anyone who change the law in this manner is a mubtadi' as Imam Ahmad رØمه الله said in Usul us Sunnah. In fact, our disobedience to the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم might be the reason why our sufferings keep increasing on daily basis. We are in poverty, yet we disobey the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, that is serious, wa Allahi!
May Allah grant us safety.
