IbnAbdillah As-sudasiy Al-Iloori

At some moments, one may not have appetite to eat rice, beans, yam, eba, amala, plantain, egg or any other kind of food. But every human being always have appetite for happiness at all time. Unfortunately, sadness will always intervene and force itself on us whether we are ready to take it or not.

Therefore, when you are in happy mood, don't over rejoice. Be conscious of the dictates of Allah and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم even as you rejoice. This is the way of a reasonable Muslim. If an affluent person who is conscious of Sunnah still choses to keep calm and not to paint the town red when blessed with something, this is just the reason. A Muslim must be prudent and humble upon his success. Allah says:

In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful [Surat Al-Hadid 23]

The wisdom here is: when you are happy, think about those who have been fed sadness at the same time you are fed with happiness. This will definitely guide your thought and conduct.
