DENIAL OF QADAR

The saying in Yoruba that: Aiye o le pa kadara da, owo ago l'aiye n fa s'eyin (people can't change destiny, but can turn back the hand of clock) constitutes partial denial of qadar (destiny). Then, partial denial of qadar is absolute denial of qadar. Qadar must be believed and accepted in its entirety without any qualification. Denial of qadar is a kufr of the first class. Allāh's aid is sought!

I can remember that one of the fuji musicians sang with this kufr statement and many people don't know its implication. They sing and even dance to it. Apart from the fact that music is harām, singing with kufr is worse. Even if you don't believe in the statement, singing that song will contradict that belief. Eeman (faith) is not just believing with the heart, what is in the heart must not contradict our words and actions. Please let us take note of this. If you don't have knowledge of Islām, especially on 'aqeedah, you will commit shirk without even knowing.
