RE: EVIL OF MUSIC

I felt so sad last night when I stopped to buy something at a particular shop. Beside that shop, there is this barber shop always playing filthy music. The one I heard being played yesterday was shocking. That was the first time I will hearing such thing and small children were there singing along and dancing to it. The musician was saying among other things: *Ogun owo (money retuals) is allowed*. Despite the fact that I was buying from an Ibo woman (a Christian), I had to call the attention of her husband to the music and its implication on their children if they grow up with this evil. 

There are many cases of this nature in our society. Once they open a shop, they must play music. They will say they are using it to publicise their businesses. It is saddening that some of these studios are located very close to some of our masājid. They are many at Oja-Oba close to the Central Mosque. Then, the case of wedding receptions, birthday parties and naming ceremonies are many in our society. They play all sort of music that are not only against Islamic faith, but directly against our moral values.
