POLYGYNY WITH MERCY by ustadh Abdullateef Lanre Abdullahi explores exactly what Allah calls "I have put between you love and mercy". 

Extensively, the book delves into the essentials and rudiments of marriage and crowns it with polygyny - the marriage of one man to more than one woman. 

The author of the best selling book, Halal Sex and Intimacy, impressed me with his expertise on areas of marriage and Islamic law, as well as common law in this new book. 

He substantiated every of his assertions with references from the Quran, Hadith, sayings of Scholars, excerpts from his colleagues' works, and also from common and Islamic law which is very commendable.

Furthermore, the author's step to step explanation on the subject of discussion is blind blowing and endearing. In fact, there's no topic bordering around polygyny that the author did not treat, with gentleness and persuasive words.

I promise, no gender of mine will read the book and still has problems accepting a co-wife. The book is all encompassing and the author's style of delivery is EMPATHETIC. I applaud a man who tries to understand the feelings of a woman. It's very soothing, by Allah.

Unarguably too, no man will read this book and still display a non empathetic feeling towards the plight of his wife whom he's marrying upon. And the plight of women all together. 

Generally, as the title of the book depicts - POLYGYNY WITH MERCY, the author is advocating for a gentle approach to polygyny. As this is the only way there can be peace in the home which is the smallest unit of the society. And by extension, peace in the society because a peaceful society starts from the home. 

Conclusively, marriage and polygyny is an act of worship, the writer is calling for conscious and cautious establishment of polygyny so that the reward therein won't be lost. 

May Allah reward the author for this masterpiece which I'm sure it's going to have a massive positive impact in the lives of the readers. I highly recommend this amazing and chivalrous intellectual effort. Baarakallahu feekum.
