WHY HAS HE CHOSEN PROF FOR A DIRECT ATTACK?

Earlier today, a video of one of our brothers was shared with me where he was rubbishing the efforts of the elders of Sunnah in Ilorin and making it look like they did not do anything or that they have no achievement in the revival of Sunnah in our society.
Though he didn't mention any name but we know those he is referring to. We don't need to deceive ourselves, by some of his references, it is clear he was particularly referring to our noble Prof. Abdurrazaq Abdulmajeed Alaro, mni. This was the same person who recently vowed to refute the Prof in a recent post that he later deleted. Extremism is a dangerous thing. The Prof and other elderly scholars do not deserve any form of disrespect from any of us because we have all benefited immensely from their knowledge and efforts. I even understand that this particular Ustadh benefitted directly from Prof. So, why has he now chosen Prof for a direct attack? You claimed Prof has never preached against grave worship and evidence was brought out for you to see and you have not retracted your claim? Even if you want to hate someone, why not hate moderately?
It is obvious that the issue is no longer that of manhaj that these brothers have been hiding under since. It is a clear case of rudeness and lack of wisdom in approaching matters. We need to have manners with those who are above us in age and knowledge. It is not just about their qualifications. He said the Prof acknowledged the place of the Council of 'Ulamaa' in Ilorin? How is that a problem? If we don't have close contact with them, how do we pass our messages and advice to them? He said the elderly scholars recognize Sheikh Adam رحمه الله as a scholar. Was he not a scholar? I have also said it severally that Sheikh Kamaldeen رحمه الله was the Ahlus Sunnah of his time and there are credible reasons for it. The efforts of these Babas cannot be rubbished. They had their flaws and we are justifying them. We are not to speak ill of them. We can correct their mistakes without attacking their personalities. I once wrote an article to explain that the da'wah of Sunnah is not to rubbish the efforts of past scholars. Besides, we also have our flaws and scholars from one generation to another are not perfect. Why should a da'wah be all about attacking personalities instead of focusing on many pressing issues affecting the Ummah? It is not the way of the Sunnah to be attacking past or elderly scholars in the name of refutation.
I particularly feel so sad that those comments were coming from him towards the elders because he is one of those I respect so much. These our brothers are just growing stronger in their extremism. They need to change before it is too late. I have no doubt that it was their extremism that gave birth to the "pristine boys" fitnah. We knew how we used to be before this principle of forcing the position of some specific scholars on everyone as if they are prophets. They want everyone to agree with them as if they have a monopoly to the truth. It is either you are with them or nothing. This is nothing but politics. Except we want to lie to ourselves, this is one of the traits of the Jabatiyyah group. Yet, when they are labeled "Jabata Face 2", they don't like it. Their fitnah may not be as dangerous as that of Jabatiyyah but fitnah is fitnah.
Even if you are upon the truth and a scholar you are trying to convince does not agree with you, there is a need for caution. Otherwise there will be fitnah. That was how one of them said then that people should not listen to the erudite Prof any longer. This is a boundary crossed. Like I had mentioned previously, if our noble elders who preach Sunnah with calmness and wisdom are not Ahlus Sunnah, then what is the true definition of the Ahlus Sunnah? It is just absurd for anyone to allege that the elderly Sunni scholar don't preach Taoheed. Subhanallah! We know what caused the issues initially. It is not the da'wah of Taoheed but the issue of how to deal with those ascribing to Sunnah with faulty manhaj that ought to be treaded softly if the youths are well behaved. This was part of the points one of our Sheikhs in Osogbo mentioned one time that the younger scholars in Ilorin don't know their limits. They are doing more then themselves. They want to hold a status they are not ripe for. Some of those who ought to be studying in front of these elderly scholars have deprived themselves of this great opportunity.
But I am not surprised with the video because some of these brothers are the ones who have labeled virtually all the scholars of Sunnah in Yorubaland unjustifiably. They want to be controlling the affairs of the elders thinking that they know better than them. They want to be one dictating what the elders will do to them. They ascribe the truth absolutely to themselves. Some of these brothers are obviously responsible for some of the divisions that we are witnessing among the scholars of Sunnah in Yorubaland. They take tales here and there to destroy the relationships between our scholars. May Allāh not make us a tool of shaytān to attack the da'wah of Sunnah from within. The truth is that they are not ready to accept anyone as a scholar except those who listen to them and follow what they say. They are just looking for a place to hide. They are looking for a noble scholar to hide under. They failed woefully in their attempt in Lagos. He insinuated that he has some secrets with them because of the way he regards them in public? How is respecting elders and offering to be used for goodness a problem? If we don't have close contact with them, how do we pass our messages and advice to them? He said the elderly scholars recognize Sheikh Adam رحمه الله as a scholar. Was he not a scholar? Those following their path blindly will be thinking they are doing the right thing until the consequences of their dangerous activities begin to haunt them.

Iwo was a no go area for them because they don't even believe there is a scholar there. This is how dangerous their fikrah is. In sha Allāh, their failure in Ogbomoso and some other parts is imminent.
This is why all Sunni scholars in Yorubaland need to be very careful and not allow any individual or group to hide under them to promote their extremism and division among the people of Sunnah. It is very clear that some people are using the artificial division to further fuel hatred between our noble scholars.
We are for peace and we will not watch while any individual or group rubbishes any of the Sunni scholars because this is tantamount to rubbishing what they hold on to (the Sunnah)
