Invite Christians and Other Non-Muslims to Islaam

Sometimes, when I read the Qur'an and have a clue of what the past kuffar went through in term of punishments in this world and the kind of punishments Allaah has prepared for them in the hereafter, I see the need for us to intensify efforts in calling non-Muslims to Islaam. We have many of them as friends, neighbors, colleagues, business associates etc.. In fact, some people have them in their own families. Why do we find it difficult to call them to the light of Islaam after knowing the undeniable consequences of their kufr? Some people even take it to be a form of disrespect to invite their Christian and other non-Muslim friends to Islaam. 

The best way to show love to people is not just to give them money or material things, but to call them to what would benefit them in this world and the hereafter. It is clear from the Book of Allaah that anyone who dies upon shirk would be in hell forever. A real Muslim would not wish for other people what he doesn't wish for himself. So, as we strive to call Muslims towards true and unadulterated Islaam, we should not neglect the calling of non-Muslims to guidance and eternal bliss. The punishments of Allaah is not to be joked with. Even if they don't answer our call, let us still try to call them, we would have rewards. It doesn't pay to be a kaafir ooo!

The verse that came to my mind this morning that prompts me to write this is:

(أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ فَذَاقُوا وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ)

Has there not come to you the news of those who disbelieved before? So they tasted the bad consequence of their affair (in this world), and they will have a painful punishment (on the Day f Judgment). [Surat At-Taghabun, 64: 5]
